Two Everyday, Extraordinary Women tell all in this inspirational interview on being writers in Hollywood. Grab a cup of tea and join us! Be inspired.

As I write this blog, I am keenly aware that I’ve been meaning to write this for a couple of weeks, which means I’ve given into resistance (Read The War of Art). The writer must write. The actor act. The painter paint. The Youtuber — YouTube? 😉 Kara and Sharon remind us of this in their interview below! We know we must create and do our calling and I hope this sweet video will encourage you and give you new ideas for how to get past that pesky resistance.

So, what have these two ladies been up to since? Well, first of all, their Hollywood Fringe show sold out and won an award or two and Kara has gone onto continue to write. She joined a team of creators to put on a pop up immersive puzzle experience for kids called GumShoe Inc. as a fundraiser for Epiphany Space. “The result was an incredibly satisfying show that was one weekend. Those who came walked out with giant smiles and the cast also had a blast. I don’t know if I would have ever done it if it wasn’t for the fact we had done Fringe, and I knew a few things going in that I would have never have known otherwise.” To learn more about it read their review.

Right now Kara is working on a play as an homage to Neil Simon’s Rumor, she has titled Secrets. And a book of comedic sitcom-style scenes for actors to use.

Sharon, I assume is writing and designing cool graphics for famous bands and brands.

I love these two ladies with all my heart and am glad they are showing us by example to keep at it — to keep writing, to keep creating…and to do it in community.
